Patricia Ann "Tricia" Jones (nee Morton), 72, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones and her beloved dog, Surrey.
Tricia was a truly extraordinary person whose warmth, joy, and light left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her laugh was contagious and her heart was generous. Tricia had a remarkable way of making everyone around her feel welcomed, valued, and celebrated.
Family was the heart of Tricia's life. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by those she loved. Trisha treasured every moment they shared together. Being a wife, sister, aunt, mom, and “Mawmaw” were among the greatest blessings of her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Lee Jones; her daughters, Rachelle Jones and Jocelyn Jones-Kreoger; her parents, Dorothy M. and James J. Morton, Jr.; her sister, Linda M. Derryberry; and her brothers-in-law, Earl Campbell and Michael Derryberry.
Tricia found additional love later in life in Robert (Bob) Hawkins, who also preceded her in death.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Richard L. (Joy) Jones, Jr.; her grandchildren, Hannah M. Wills, Clayton J. Wills, Chet Jones, and Justin Waller; her siblings, James J. (Wendy) Morton, Jr., Mary M. Campbell, and John E. (Tami) Morton; her godchildren, Jennifer L. Armstrong, Jason M. Derryberry, and Ashley N. Morton; her cherished dog, Surrey; and many adored nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Tricia had a passion for cooking, gardening, caring for animals, and bringing people together. She also loved to travel, embracing every opportunity to explore new places and create lifelong memories with family and friends. She was a gifted hostess and natural event planner, whether she was organizing family gatherings, celebrating birthdays, or coordinating events for Dick Jones Lincoln Mercury. No matter the occasion, Tricia had a unique ability to make every person in attendance feel special.
Tricia was deeply committed to her community and generously gave her time through many years of volunteer service with Youth In Need, the American Red Cross, and the YMCA.
Tricia’s beautiful legacy will continue to shine through all the countless lives she touched.
Memorial contributions may be made in Tricia's memory to the American Heart Association or Five Acres Animal Shelter.
