Patricia Jean Chambers

Patricia Jean Chambers (nee Shogan) passed away on September 9, 2026.

Pat was born on June 19, 1940, in the family home in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, the eighth of Andrew and Regina Shogan’s nine children. She graduated from St. Xavier’s Academy and Robert Morris Business School in Pittsburgh and began working at United Airlines, transferring to Arlington, West Virginia for a time. On March 30, 1964, she married Duane Stuart (Stu) Chambers, also a United Airlines employee. Several years later they relocated to Layton, Utah. After retiring from a career as a government employee on Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah she kept busy volunteering with the Davis Arts Council, hospice, and a local food bank. She and Stu enjoyed traveling and gardening and were active in their church. Pat was an avid reader who loved dogs and birds (especially hummingbirds). She was also quite creative, and completed many crochet, needlepoint, sewing and craft projects throughout her life. In 2011 Pat and Stu moved to Nixa, Missouri, where they enjoyed the shows and activities in nearby Branson, Missouri and kept busy with St. Francis Catholic Church. A few years after Stu’s death in 2020, Pat moved to O’Fallon, Missouri to be near her daughter. In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by sisters Dolly and Marion, and brothers Edward, Andrew, Ray and Joseph (Bob). She is survived by her son Michael Chambers of Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter Cindy Chambers (Chris Jones) of O’Fallon, Missouri, granddaughter Sarah Jones of Kansas City, Missouri, grandson Alex Jones of St. Charles, Missouri, brothers Regis Shogan of Monroeville, Pennsylvania and Ron Shogan of Greensburg, Pennsylvania and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral and interment of ashes will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in North Versailles, Pennsylvania at a later date.
