Boschert, Orville “Spud,” of Saint Charles, MO, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016, at the age of 91. Cherished son of Hubert and Mabel (Hafer) Boschert; dear brother of Douglas (Leaetta) Boschert, Joan (Bud) Schaeffer, Jean Boschert, and Father Hubert Boschert S.J.; loving uncle, great uncle, and friend to many.
Spud was also preceded in death by his siblings: Don (Vicki) Boschert, Maurice “Skip” Boschert, Paul (Betty) Boschert, Geraldine Boschert, and Sister Lois Boschert, S.S.N.D.
Spud proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a devout member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in St. Charles, MO. Spud was a member of Knights of Columbus #823, National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 984, National 4th Infantry (Ivy) Division Association, LaSociete Des 40 Homes Et 8 Chevaux - Voiture #1541, American Legion Post #312, Men's Left and Right Hand Club Post #312, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4219, Amvets Post #106, Disabled American Veterans St. Louis, and was chaplain of the American Legion. Spud was very friendly and never met a stranger. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
