Orville Reinhard Kolkmeyer of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the age of 78. Loving husband of Loretta Kolkmeyer; dear son of the late Otto and Irene Kolkmeyer; devoted father of Joyce (Paul) Habighorst, Rebecca (Dave) Thurman, Scott (Lisa) Kolkmeyer, Lisa Haislip, and Randy (Ellie) Kolkmeyer; special friend of Kent Haislip; treasured grandfather of Kaylie, Kelsey, Jason, Julie, Justin, Gregory, Kristen, Alyssa, Cody, Courtney, Riley, Lydia and Lyle; dear brother of Bernice Buenemann, Dolores Owens, and the late Adelle Bargen; dear brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin, and friend to all who knew him. Orville was retired after 21 years as a Part Owner of AAA Petroleum in St. Charles. He was a long time member of Friedens U.C.C. Church in St. Charles, VFW Post #2866, C&H Athletic Association. Orville was also a member of the American Legion Post #312, American Legion Luncheon Retirees, Korean Veterans Association Chapter 6, and Military Order of the Cooties, Pup Tent 5.
