Orva "Lynn" Fischer

Orva Lynn Fischer (nee Handshy), of Florissant, MO, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of Bruce Fischer; cherished daughter of the late Orvell and Dorothy Handshy; devoted mother of Nikki (Will) Coker and Karen (Dennis) Maechler; loving grandmother of Jacob, Josh, Jaxon, and Avarey.

Orva was married to the love of her life, Bruce Fischer, for 59 wonderful years. Together, they shared a passion for travel, enjoying memorable trips to Las Vegas, Arkansas, Florida, and many destinations throughout the South. Orva was a talented cook who also found joy in shopping and working on computers. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Memorials may be made in Orva's name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.
