O'Fallon

Norma Jean Kisor, lovingly known as Jean, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 14, 1935 in Caledonia, Texas to Roy Henry Crump and Vergie Swann Crump.

After marrying Roy Kisor in 1953, the couple settled in St. Charles, MO where they made a loving home and raised their four children. After Roy retired, they relocated to Middletown, MO. They built their dream home on 50 beautiful acres where they enjoyed the peace, privacy and the outdoors they loved so much.

Jean was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, whose greatest joy in life was caring for those she loved. A woman of strong Baptist faith, she was known for her warm heart, generous spirit and the comfort she brought to everyone around her. Whether she was baking her famous cookies and desserts, making sweet tea, preparing delicious meals for family gatherings or caring for children, Jean had a special way of making people feel welcomed, cherished and at home. She also adored her pets, especially her beloved little chihuahuas.

Jean spent many years driving a school bus and touched countless lives through her kindness, patience and caring nature. Family was always at the center of her life and she especially treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Kathy “Katie” Fleming; her sons, Jay (Lori) Kisor and Leigh (Janice) Kisor; her daughter, Bonnie (Dennis) Gittemeier and her cherished brother, James Crump.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Scott (Candace) Fleming, Melissa (Sam) Reynolds, Joseph (McKenzie) Kisor, Jennifer (Lee) Schnelting, Rachel (Russ) Heggemeyer, Roy Kisor, Lindsey Fleming, Phillip Fleming, Kelsey Fleming and Neal Kisor.

She was also blessed with several beloved great-grandchildren: Ian, Lilly, Noah, Dylan, Reed, Liam, Easton, Laird, Waylon, Elon, Kash and Gracelyn.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Roy Kisor; her parents, Roy Henry Crump and Vergie Swann Crump and her beloved sister, Suzie Mims Johnson.

Jean’s legacy of faith, love, compassion and devotion to family will continue to live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever held in the hearts of those blessed to know her.
