Norma Harke (nee Scott), of O'Fallon, MO, passed away June 2, 2026 at the 93 years old.
She was the beloved daughter of William and Glendora Scott of St. Louis, Missouri. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Roy Harke of Old Monroe, MO. Devoted mother of Eric (Tracy) Harke, Milly Ransom, Penny Bowman and Ron Harke. Loving grandmother of Michael Pirtle, Christopher Harke, Heather (Dave) Fry, Ashly Bowman, Rachel Bennet, Megan Preston, Devon Ransom, Brittney Ballew, Joey Taylor, Nick Richardson and Hunter Richardson. Treasured great-grandmother of Grace, Wyatt, Kara, Natalie, Ezekiel, David, Ashlyn, Damian, Rayburn, Hailey, Austin, Kaylie, Caitlynn, Kevin, Cain, Peyton, Alena, Brilynn, Kinley and the late Dakota. Great-Great Grandma to William. She is preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Adored Aunt to Earl, Steve, Matt, Richard, John, Tammy, Lorna, Laurie, Kelly, Travis, Jason and the late Linda and Glen. Great Aunt and friend to many.
Norma was married to her beloved husband, Roy, for 62 wonderful years before his passing. Together, they built a loving family, cherished their time together, and devoted themselves to raising their children.
Norma was a spunky, opinionated spitfire with a generous heart. She was always willing to help anyone in need and would do anything for those she loved. Family meant everything to her, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A talented and creative woman, Norma enjoyed painting, ceramics, woodworking, and canvas art. She also had a passion for travel and never missed an opportunity to explore somewhere new. She loved opera and attending performances at the Muny, and she cherished spending time with her close friends.
Norma was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, strength, creativity, and devotion to family will be remembered always.
Memorials may be made in Norma's name to Disabled Veterans, Shriners Hospital or Smile Train.
