In Loving Memory of Norma Jean Brauch (née Bersche)July 7, 1937 – October 1, 2025
Norma Jean Brauch, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of the late Daniel "Dan" Glen Brauch, Sr.; cherished daughter of the late Ralph David and Elizabeth Amelia Bersche; devoted mother of Daniel "Dan" (Debbie) Brauch, Jr. and Donald (Virginia) Brauch; loving grandmother of Samantha (Derek) Schaefer, Sara (Donnie) Cox, and Mathew Brauch; and proud great-grandmother of Parker Schaefer, Evelyn Schaefer, Valarie Cox, and James Cox. She was dearly loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Norma was preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel G. Brauch, III, and her two sisters, Evola (the late Earl) Niermann and her twin, Eula Bersche.
Norma was a devoted member of All Saints Catholic Church, where she gave generously of her time and talents, supporting the funeral committee, managing mailings, and helping organize community picnics. Raised on a farm and educated in a one-room schoolhouse, she embodied a strong work ethic that guided her throughout her life. She was also a twin, a bond she shared with her beloved sister, Eula Bersche, which brought her great joy and remained meaningful throughout her life.
She enjoyed a long and successful career as Office Manager at Potlatch, dedicating over 35 years to the company. Norma’s interests were as diverse as they were inspiring — a proud licensed pilot and air traffic controller, she was also an avid hunter and an accomplished skeet and trap shooter.
More than anything, Norma cherished her family. She found her greatest joy in the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
Norma was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Norma's name to All Saints Catholic Church or Shriners Hospital.
