Nicholas "Nick" VanDyke

Nicholas “Nick” VanDyke, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026, at the age of 72. Cherished husband of Ann VanDyke; cherished son of the late Nicholas and Rosalie VanDyke; son-in-law of Carolyn Mills; devoted father of Michael Martin, David (Nikki) Martin, Michele (Guy) Touchette, and Kenny (Tanashe) Martin; loving grandfather of Mike, Molly, Noah, Hunter, Ryder, Kannon, Parker, Jack, Nick, Allie, Brandon, Shayla, Evelyn, and Adeline; treasured great-grandfather of 2; dear brother of Barbara (Morris) Frommer, Kelly (Greg) Wallen, the late Nikki McLean, the late Patty Breck, and the late Michael VanDyke; uncle and friend to many.

Nick was a devoted husband and dedicated provider to his wife, Ann, of 40 years. He also took great pride in his work, was an avid businessman and spent most of his career as a salesman in the restaurant and food service industry. A lifelong resident of Saint Charles County, Nick was proud of his family’s history in the community. His father was the owner and president of the former VanDyke Brewery.

Nick was steadfast in his faith and faithfully served God as an active member of First Baptist Church – Lake Saint Louis. He was a deacon of the church, taught Sunday School, dedicated his time to the Awana Children’s Ministry, and generously volunteered in the church’s Food Pantry. He was also a member of Gideons International. He was the man behind the ice cream maker and proudly served his famous mostaccioli at any large gathering. Nick was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
