Neil Hays

Neil Hays of Troy, MO, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the age of 60. Beloved husband of 34 years to Kellie Hays; cherished son of Marilyn (Rudy) Hays Goldman and the late Harlin Hays; devoted father of Kayla (Branden) Duff and Tyler Hays; loving grandfather of Grayson Duff; dear brother of Sarita (Tom) Runyan and the late Gerald Hays; and cherished son-in-law of the late Clifford and Carolyn Wilke. Neil also leaves behind his adored four-legged fur baby, Gracie and many family and friends.

Neil grew up in O’Fallon, Missouri where he graduated from Fort Zumwalt High School and played baseball from little league through legion ball. He attended SEMO where he found lasting friendships from the TKE fraternity. Neil then dedicated over 25 years at MEMC Electronics, retiring in 2011.

In his free time, Neil enjoyed his home, and tending to his yard and pool. He loved the outdoors and liked to go hunting and fishing. Neil also liked to cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals, enjoyed classic cars, and listening to classic rock. He was proud of his children and their accomplishments, always involved in their lives and making time for fun with them. With a kind and caring personality, he supported his family in every way and would always put his family and friends first. Neil was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
