Nathanael H. "J.R." Mooningham, Jr., of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the age of 48. Dear son of Nathanael H. Mooningham, Sr. and the late Evy Nell Smith; devoted father of Tim Mooningham and Nathanael J. Mooningham; dear brother of Betty "Ranell" (James) Dean, Susan R. (Keith) Renken, and Darla (Scott) Coffman; beloved owner of his loving Husky Shadow; and loved by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
J.R. was employed as a Maintenance Technician for many years at SLU. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and managed the Immaculate Conception Little League for many years. In his spare time, J.R. loved to fix things and enjoyed helping people fix things; his greatest passion in life however, was raising and spending time with his two sons.
Memorials may be made to Siteman Cancer Center, BJC, or American Cancer Society.
