Nancy K. Hollaway

Nancy Kay Hollaway, of St. Charles, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at the age of 88. Loving wife of the late Virgil T. Hollaway; beloved daughter of the late Milton and Catherine Achelpohl; dear sister of Susan (Roger) Eastman, and the late Mary Ann (Don) Ell. Cherished mother of the late Jeff Hollaway, Stephanie (Fred) Burks, and Debbie Lindemann. Dearest Grandmother of Jennifer (Jared) Werner, Megan Vicalvi, Andy (Nicole) Burks, Tara (David) Cox, Joe (Emily) Lindemann, and Brian (Hillary) Burks. Treasured Great Grandmother of 12 children.

Nancy was born and raised in St. Charles. She graduated from St. Peters Grade School and High School. She proudly graduated from St. John's School of Nursing and worked as an R.N., caring for countless patients through the years. Her nursing career was primarily with the pediatric population and their families and OB/GYN patients. After she retired, she was a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary.

Nancy was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Anne Ladies Sodality and sang in the Sunday morning and Resurrection Choirs for some time. She enjoyed helping with Fish Fries, the Parish Garage Sale, Sausage Suppers and participating with her friends at the exercise classes. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

Nancy loved to dance, sing, and could whistle a tune like no one else. She always wore a smile and never knew a stranger. She was loving and kind to everyone. Above all, she treasured time with her family. Nancy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Nancy's name to St. Vincent de Paul of St. Peter Parish.
