Mittie Mosley

November 16, 1931 — May 23, 2018

Mittie Ann Mosley (nee Bailey), of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Edward Mosley, Sr.; cherished daughter of the late Fred A. and Opal Mae Bailey; devoted mother of Terry Finn, Kenneth (Vicki) Mosley, Connie Geisler, and Carolyne (Simon Pinniger) Roehm; loving grandmother of Bailey Mosley and the late Erica Finn; treasured sister of Pearl "Joyce" (Dirk) Berglund, Frederick (Linda Rogers) Bailey, and Janet (Gene) Valentine; and dear sister-in-law of Joyce Bailey.

In addition to her husband, parents, and granddaughter, she was preceded in death by her companion, Ken Smith, and her siblings, Mary Bailey, Evelyn "Jane" Copp, and William "Bill" Bailey.

Mittie was an elementary teacher and librarian for the Berkeley and Ferguson/Florissant School Districts. She graduated with honors from Truman State/Northeast Missouri State University, and from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with her Master’s degree. In her free time, Mittie enjoyed traveling, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and playing cards and games. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
