Michael Anthony Smith Sr.

Michael Anthony Smith Sr., of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Sharon Smith; cherished son of the late Taylor and Ruby Mae Smith; devoted father of Michael Anthony (Nikki) Smith, Jr. and Kevin Lamar (Anthoneshea Rogers) Smith; loving grandfather of Michael Anthony Smith, III and Kevin Lamar Smith, Jr.; dear brother of Brenetta Smith, and three siblings who preceded him in death, Larry Smith, Maurice Smith, and Carol Smith.

Michael, also known as “Big Mike” and “Big Daddy”, was married to Sharon for 45 wonderful years. He touched so many lives and loved to mentor and coach sports teams. Mike worked for Laclede Gas, now Spire, for many years. Mike loved to go big when he went shopping, as a result, he always looked sharp when he got "suited and booted.” He enjoyed fine dining, traveling, and photography. Mike loved his family more than anything and they meant the world to him. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Mike’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Children's Hospitals.
