Memorials may be made to Educational Trust Fund for the Schwer Children. Schwer, Michael F., of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at the age of 46. Loving husband of Debra "Debbie" Schwer; Dear son of Wilfrid "Red" E. Schwer and the late Gloria L. Schwer; Dear step-son of the late Maury Schwer; Devoted father of Zachary, Rachel, Jacob, Matthew, Hannah, and Sarah; Dear brother of Harry (Mila) Schwer, Steven Schwer, David Schwer, Helen (Thomas) Doran, Kathleen Carmody, William (Gay) Schwer, James (Michelle) Carmody, III, and Sean (Angela) Carmody; Dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to all who knew him. He owned Schwer Insurance Group in St. Peters where he was an Insurance Broker. Prior to the insurance business, he was in the Air National Guard for 25 years, stationed in St. Louis. He was a member of the 131st Fighter Wing in the Air National Guard, holding the position of Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic. He served in Operation Noble Eagle and Desert Storm. He was a recipient of the Airman of the Year Award in 2003, plus numerous medals and awards in his military career. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 312 in St. Charles and was a member of the Air Force Sergeant's Association. He was a coach for the select soccer team, J.B. Marine Soccer Club for 18 years. He was a high school soccer referee for 15 years. He was a member of the Knight Pride Marching Band Boosters Executive Board at Francis Howell North High School. He was also a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in St. Charles. He also served as the Awana Game Director at Mid Rivers Baptist Chapel in St. Charles.
