Michael V. "Mike" Broeker

Michael V. “Mike” Broeker, of Portage Des Sioux, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026 the age of 78. Beloved husband of Carol Broeker; cherished son of the late Vernon and Erma Broeker; devoted father of Jeffrey M. (Dianna) Broeker, Michelle (Brent) Cooper and Jeremy (Amanda) Broeker; loving grandfather of Taylor Cooper, Max Broeker, Wayne Broeker, and Zachary Broeker; dear brother of Judy (Richard) Zumbehl, Betty (Steve) Bealler and Dennis (Roxann) Broeker; brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend to many.

Michael was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church Orchard Farm and was a proud member of the Usher’s Club. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve. A lifelong farmer, Mike had a passion for working the land and could often be found tinkering in his shed, always creating or fixing something with his hands.

He enjoyed boating, golfing, hunting, and especially spending time riding around on his side-by-side with his dogs. Above all else, Mike was a devoted family man whose greatest joy was the love he shared with his family.

Michael was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Michael's name to Trinity Lutheran Church Orchard Farm or Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
