Merley "Jo" Coward

Merley Jo Coward (nee Bradsher), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Freddy Coward; cherished daughter of the late Arvin and Cleopha Bradsher; devoted mother of Greg (Carolyn Jo) Coward, Tim (Debora) Coward, and Scot (Sharon) Coward; loving grandmother of Adam, Ben, Ally, Caylea, Connor, Meagan, and Dawn; treasured great-grandmother of Tiernan, Renley, Astraea, Hattie, Annalise, Owlen, Samantha, Jessica, Claire, Harper, Ava, and Sophia; precious great-great-grandmother of Charleigh, and Bennett.

Merley was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in her home and family. She shared 65 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Freddy, until his passing. Together, they created a life filled with love, travel, and cherished memories spent visiting family, relatives, and friends. She was a loving mother, a kind and compassionate woman, and a deeply supportive grandmother. Merley was an avid reader, she enjoyed playing games, and she was known as a great cook. She treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness. Merley was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Merley's name to the Salvation Army and First United Methodist Church St Charles.
