Merle M. Hoehn (nee Scheible), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of Adolf George Hoehn; cherished daughter of the late George F. and Sarah Anna Scheible; devoted mother of Michael (Terrie) Hoehn, Barbara (Christopher) Brinkman, and Laura Russell; loving grandmother of Michael (Andrea) Hoehn II, Emily Hoehn, Amy (Theo) Schersky, Eric (Christine) Brinkman, Andrea (Dustin) Bailey, Alex (Alice) Brinkman, Gregory (Katelin) Brinkman, Kaitlyn Russell, and Hayley Russell; treasured great grandmother of Mira, Lexi, Zara, Anton, Tess, Ashur, Armin, Halle, Landon, Scarlett, Lauren, Isaac, and Patrick; dear sister of four siblings who also preceded her in death, two brothers, Joe Scheible, Clifford Scheible, and two sisters, Sissy Williams and Alene Tow; beloved aunt, neighbor, and friend to many.
Merle was very devoted to her family and the church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren. Merle loved to travel, read, solve puzzles, go on walks, color, swing in her yard swing, and even play soccer with the kids. She married Adolf from Sand am Main, Germany on June 11, 1955, at Hamilton Avenue Christian Church in St. Louis, MO. They celebrated their 70th anniversary in June of 2025. Merle was a stay-at-home mom for their three wonderful children until they were of school age. After that, she went to work at JCPenney in Grandview Plaza and Jamestown Mall. Merle was a member of First Christian Church in Ferguson, MO, until it closed, then went on to attend Halls Ferry Christian Church. She was a woman of strong faith, had a kind heart and the sweetest smile. Merle was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Merle's name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
