Wetter, Melvin G. “Mel”, former mayor of St. Charles, MO, of Saint Charles, MO, died on Monday, November 23, 2015, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Kathleen "Bee" Wetter; cherished father of Brad (Miriam) Wetter, Kathy (Larry) Jacobs, Sherri (the late James Joseph "Jim" Wetter, Sr.) Wetter, David (Lori) Wetter, and Frank (Lauren) Wetter; devoted grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 21; dear brother of Jeannette Wappelhorst, Kenneth Wetter, and Caroline "Dolly" Rothermich.
Mel was preceded in death by his son, James Joseph "Jim" Wetter, Sr., his grandson, David J Wetter, Jr., and his brothers, Jack Wetter and Norbert "Buzz" Wetter.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society.
