Melba Lorraine Bokelman (nee Fuchs), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Raymond Bokelman; beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Nora Fuchs; devoted mother of Raymond Neil Bokelman, Beverly (Michael) Boyd-Caraffa, Mary (the late A.G.) White, Cathy (Cliff) Gray, and Susan (Timothy) Hinton; cherished grandmother of Erin (Jeffrey) Lechner, Lauren (Joshua) VanMeter, Michael (Danna) Boyd, Sarah (the late Jason) Soyster, Paul (Amber) Boyd, Daniel (Regina) Gray, Jacob Hinton, Adam Hinton, and Lucas Hinton; treasured great-grandmother of twelve; dear sister of Gerald (Jackie) Fuchs, and James (the late Alleen) Fuchs; loving sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. Melba is also preceded in death by infant twin sisters, Joan and Ann Fuchs.
Melba was a woman of deep faith who shared the word of God with grace and joy. She found great happiness in singing and actively participated in book clubs and Bible studies at Breeze Park. A passionate reader and avid sports fan, she especially enjoyed baseball and basketball. Melba's warm and outgoing personality drew people to her, and she was blessed with many friends. She loved entertaining, cooking her favorite dishes, and hosting family gatherings that brought everyone together. Melba was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Memorials may be made in Melba's name to the Breeze Park Chapel Enhancement Fund. Please make checks payable to Breeze Park but indicate in the memo for “The Chapel Enhancement Fund.”
