Max Bear
September 19, 1940 — February 13, 2014
Bear, Max, of Festus, Missouri, died on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the age of 73. Beloved son the late George W. and Myrtle Bear; devoted father of Deborah L. (Edward) Starz, Laura A. (Doug) Nelson and Mark E. Bear; cherished grandfather of Brandi (Gary) Finley, Brian (Nina) House, Hunter Nelson, Samantha Bear and Sarah Starz; treasured great-grandfather of Hannah, Gavin, Landon, Drake, Chase and Kylie; dear half-brother of Larry Bear and Linda Welker, and step-brother of Betty Jaynes; former husband of JoAnn Bear. He is preceded in death by his siblings Douglas Bear, Ted Bear, Leo Bear, Peggy Marquette and Betty Gray, and half-brother Gary Bear.
Max was a member of the Eagles Club and VFW.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
