Maurine Burden

Maurine “Marni” Burden (née Tweedy), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the age of 85. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gary L. Burden; her son, Kyle A. (Vicki) Lane; her grandchildren, Brooke Lane and Bradley Lane; and her great-granddaughter, MaryLane Hawke. She was also a cherished aunt and friend to many. Marni was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Viola Tweedy; her brothers, Melvin Tweedy and Orville (Jenny) Tweedy; and her sisters, Gwen (Bill) Andrews, Virena (Jim) Pruitt, Dee (Bill) Bremner, Vertabel (Jim) York, and Merla (Jim survives) Cawood.

Marni was a woman of deep faith—truly a Proverbs 31 woman. She was a prayer warrior and a devoted, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Marni was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
