Matthew Thomas Johnson

Matthew Thomas Johnson, of St. Charles, Missouri passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026 at the age of 61.

Precious husband to Mary Tucci Johnson; cherished son of the late Gloria and Wilfred Johnson; dear brother of the late Karen Lee Johnson; Debbie Spickler, Jim Johnson; Mike (Barb) Johnson, and the late Scott (Dawn) Johnson. Treasured son-in-law, adored uncle, great uncle, cousin, loyal friend and dedicated colleague. Matthew was a loving and devoted husband who shared 24 wonderful years with the love of his life. A true family man he guided and mentored his niece Elena (Steven) Porter, nephew Joseph (Sara) Mosblech and embraced them as his own.

Matthew was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed smoking BBQ, reading and cooking alongside his wife. He treasured his family and the time they shared together, creating memories that will remain with them always. Throughout his remarkable 40-year career in finance, Matthew was known for his dedication, integrity, intelligence and steadfast commitment to his work. In later years of his career, he served as Controller for Resource-1, a position he held with great professionalism and pride. While his professional accomplishments were an important part of his life, Matthew will be remembered most for the person he was beyond his career. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who have had the privilege of knowing him.
