MaryLou Lyla Maglio, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the age of 72. Cherished daughter of the late Gerard Peter Maglio and Josephine "Shirley" Mafalda Zoppi; devoted mother of Kenneth Charles (Tiffany) Maglio; dear sister of Ralph (Carol) Maglio; loving great-aunt of Sophia Maglio; loving cousin and friend. MaryLou is preceded in death by her nephew, Gerard Maglio.
MaryLou was a woman of faith and a devoted member of Lifespring Community Church. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and, though small in stature, she was truly mighty in spirit. Her stubborn and headstrong nature was a reflection of her strength and resilience, qualities that carried her through life. MaryLou was a mother to all and lovingly known as “Mama Lou.” She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with open arms, making those around her feel loved and accepted. She shared a special bond with her fur baby and best friend, her beloved dog, Lyla, who brought her great joy and companionship. MaryLou’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Sunrise and Pathways Hospice for the care and compassion they provided, as well as many loving family members and devoted friends that have supported them by visiting Mama Lou in her time of need and sharing blessings and prayers for them. MaryLou was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
