Schmidt, Marylee (nee Meers) Marylee was born, raised and died (Monday October 18th, 2021) on the Meers Family Farm, property of the late Ida and Omar Meers. She had many pastimes and hobbies including; traveling the world and golfing in as many states as possible with her loving late husband Eugene Schmidt “Smitty”. She loved playing cards, enjoying the arts at the Fox and the Muny and most of all, soaking up time with her grandkids, Jamie (Jimmy), Eric, Brian, Rachel, Jessica (Ben), Steven (Jeanne), Sara (Jacob), Erika (Chad), Alex (Michael), Jordan and great grandkids the late Madeline, Cooper, Wyatt, Waylon, Kurt, Jack, Ella, Colette, Luke, Esther and Brooks. Technology was able to keep her busy during the last year and a half of the COVID pandemic through countless hours of cards on the iPad and cherishing pictures on PhotoCircle. She was happy to celebrate a delayed 90th birthday gathering with all her family earlier this spring. Marylee was an active member of many groups including, Immanuel Birthday Club #27 for 77 years, couple’s pinochle card club for 55 years, Immanuel Kitchen Band, Immanuel Mothers Club, women’s golf leagues for many years, numerous card-playing groups, and a longstanding member of Chapel of the Cross, St. Peters.
