Mary Ann Vollmar

Mary Ann Vollmar (née Gicona), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Richard W. Vollmar; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Nancy Gicona (née Bono); devoted mother of Nancy (Jeffrey) Bueltmann, Richard P. (Jill) Vollmar, and Matthew (Sara) Vollmar; loving grandmother of Vincent (Lauren) Bueltmann, Tyler (Maggie) Bueltmann, Eleanor Bueltmann, Alexis Vollmar, Alex Vollmar, Ted Porter, Isabella Vollmar, Jackson Vollmar, and Addyson Vollmar; treasured great-grandmother of Oliver Bueltmann and Louis Bueltmann; dear sister of Peter Gicona; and a beloved aunt, cousin, and cherished friend to countless others whose lives she touched.

Mary Ann remained a cherished member of her “sorority,” a close-knit circle of lifelong friends from grade school, and gave her time as a volunteer with the Ladies’ Auxiliary at Barnes St. Peters Hospital. She was an avid crafter who loved creating with her hands, carried on treasured family traditions through her Christmas baking, and enjoyed tending to her garden. Known for her warm and welcoming demeanor, Mary Ann never met a stranger and was loved dearly by her friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be greatly missed.
