Mary Anna Schilhab

August 24, 1943 — January 23, 2026

Hazelwood, Missouri

Mary Anna Schilhab (nee Spaulding), of Hazelwood, MO, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at the age of 82. Loving wife of Arthur James Schilhab; beloved daughter of the late Anna Louise Esther Spaulding; devoted mother of Christopher Lee Schilhab and Kimberly Ann MacDonald; cherished grandmother of Katelyn (Kip) Rose MacDonald; dear sister of Robert Spaulding and Thomas Spaulding. Mary is also preceeded in death by her two sisters, Betty Davis and Catherine Edwards.

Mary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Whether she was beating us at Rummy, making us all wonderful meals, teasing us relentlessly or making us laugh with stories of her wayward youth, she loved with her whole body and soul. As much as she loved her family and friends, no one felt that love more fully and purely than the children and fur babies in her life. She loved taking the grand nieces, nephews and her grandchild (Kip) to fun places for adventures. She kept saying, "No more cats after (insert many last kitties here)", but inevitably she'd find a kitten she couldn't resist. Her latest Grandfurbaby is Sammy (short for Samantha), who got to do things no other kitty has ever been allowed to do.

Memorials may be made in Mary's name to The Human Society.
