Mary Louise Mueth (nee: Branz), age 90, of O'Fallon, MO passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, surrounded by family. Her life was guided by her Catholic faith. She was born on October 6, 1935 in East St. Louis, Illinois to John and Louise Branz. She was the beloved wife of Donald Mueth for 67 years, and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love and guidance is shaping generations.
After graduating high school from Saint Teresa's Academy, Mary Lou worked as a secretary for five years before marrying Don and starting their family. She enjoyed reading, board games, and traveling with family.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband Don Mueth, four children: Don (Terry), Kathy Hinrichs (Tom), Mary Ann Sutton (John Thomas) and Diane Marciante (Vito); eleven grandchildren: Shelly, Nick, Greg, Joe, Margaret, Eric, Dena, Rachel, Matt, Tony, and Sara; and six great-grandchildren: Kayden, Kane, Levi, Kali, Myles, and Blake; sister-in-law: Lynn (Roger) Jenks.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John (Helen) Branz, and Larry (Rosemary and Mary Ann) Branz, sister-in-law, LaVerne (Barney) Elser and nephew, Jason Jenks.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15th at 9:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 403 North Main St., O’Fallon MO. Funeral will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Assumption Church-St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Mary Lou will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.
