(Adriana Vargas) Burch; loving grandmother of nine grandchildren; dear sister of three brothers, and three sisters.
Mary was a devoted educator, naturalist, and loving mother who proudly served in the military before dedicating her life to early childhood education. She spent 15 years with CORS Head Start in Ohio, where her passion for working with young children shone brightly. An avid lover of birds, animals, and plants, Mary shared her appreciation for nature through volunteer work at the Wegerzyn Garden Center through Metro Park Systems and the Aullwood Audubon Nature Center and Farm in Dayton, Ohio. She also served as a Boy Scout den leader and Girl Scout troop leader for five years each. A hands-on teacher who loved teaching through crafts, she shared creativity and learning with both her students and her children. Family was always at the center of her life. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mary’s name to Toys for Tots or St. Louis Children's Hospital.
