Mary M. Spies

Mary M. Spies of St. Charles Missouri died Saturday September 1, 2001 at St. Joseph Carmelite Home in St. Charles. She was born September 24, 1919 to Jeremiah and Mary Hurley in St. Louis Missouri. Mrs. Spies is survived by her children, Eileen McCarthy of Maryland Heights Missouri, Jeremiah (Karen) Spies of St. Charles Missouri, George (Megan) Spies of St. Louis Missouri, and Jeffrey (Brenda) Spies of Jefferson City Missouri, eight grandchildren, Jerry, Timothy, Kristie, Daniel, Amie, Megan, James and Ryan, six great grandchildren, Tina, Daniel, Anne, Jeremy, Blake, and Logan, a brother Jeremiah Hurley of St. Louis Missouri, and two sisters, Jean Meier of Jefferson City Missouri, and Helen Moeser of Florissant Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Spies, and one sister, Kathleen Lynch. The family has requested that memorals be sent to the St. Joseph Carmelite Home in lieu of flowers.
