November 6, 1942 — October 21, 2025

Saint Charles, Missouri

Mary Martha Hesskamp passed away peacefully October 21, 2025, at the age of 82 in her hometown of St. Charles, MO. She was born on November 6th, 1942, to Harry and Juanita Hagemeier and grew up on their family farm with her three sisters. Mary graduated from St. Charles High School before marrying her beloved husband William (Bill) Hesskamp. She spent the next 65 years building a family, having a career, and always being the life of the party.

Mary loved country music, dancing, and reading the newspaper. She mainly loved doing these things while sitting on her porch or at the beach, especially while surrounded by her family and friends. A highlight of her retirement was being a part of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Senior Shenanigans. She was always helping others, never met a stranger, and always made sure everyone was having as good of a time as she was. Mary was best known for being a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, wife, and friend while always capturing every moment she could with her favorite camera.

Mary was preceded in death by her sisters, Myra Means and Juanita Gosejohan, her grandson Adam Branson, and her nephew Darin Gosejohan. She is survived by her husband Bill and sister Nancy Schone. Loving mother of Peggy Branson, Amy (Jeff) Johnston, Billy (Denise) Hesskamp, Dawn (Mike) Smith, godmother to Harry (Dene) Gosejohan, and Grant Plummer. Adoring grandmother of Brian Branson, Chad (Heather) Johnston, Tyler Johnston, Jaclyn Johnston, Chelsea (Will Whistler Brown) Branson, Travis (Taylor) Hesskamp, Carly Hesskamp, Dalton Smith, and Ivanka Smith. Devoted great grandmother of Carter, Peyton, Brayden, Landon, and Myles.
