Mary Katherine Frecks

Mary Katherine “Kathy” Frecks (nee Hayes), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Beverly Frecks; cherished daughter of the late Mary Alice and Kenneth Hayes; devoted mother of Jon (Christina) Frecks, Mike (Kylie) Frecks, and Kristen (Bob) Miller; loving grandmother of Andrew, Zachary, Addison, Colin, Ethan, Corinne, and Lillian; dear sister of the late Gary Hayes.

Kathy was married to the love of her life for 52 wonderful years, and together they shared a passion for collecting and dealing antiques. She dedicated over 30 years of her career as a registered nurse, serving others with compassion and skill. A determined and intelligent woman of strong faith, Kathy deeply cherished her friendships and the connections she built throughout her life. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and sewing, and was also a wonderful cook who always seemed to have a fresh batch of cookies ready to share. She was also an associate member for the Vietnam Vets and spent countless hours making hats and mats for the homeless. Kathy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Kathy's name to Zion Lutheran Church.
