She was well known through the community, and all who met her kindly thought of her as “Mom.” After raising her family, she became a reference librarian for the Linneman Library for 20 years before retiring. She was very active in the St. Charles Presbyterian Church, where she and her husband were founding members. She was a master cook and baker, and passionate about feeding her family, friends, and neighbors her famous pies, cakes, and cookies. Mary enjoyed serving as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She also enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and celebrating the holidays. She cherished her family; her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
