Mary Kate Dufield

Mary Kate Dufield, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the age of 61. Cherished daughter of the late Nancy and Garth Dufield, Jr.; dear sister of Julie (Ronald) Erickson, Andrew Dufield, and sister-in-law of Meredith Dufield; treasured aunt of Lauren Erickson, Autumn Dufield, and Aaron Dufield.

Mary Kate enjoyed attending Element Church, where she was very involved and loved being part of her church family. She cherished time spent with friends and found great joy in nature, especially watching birds. A natural caretaker, Mary Kate devoted many years to lovingly caring for her grandmother and her parents. She was friendly and had a gift for conversation, able to connect with anyone she met. Magnetic and personable, Mary Kate especially loved talking about God and sharing her faith—she was deeply devoted to Christ. Throughout her battle with cancer, Mary Kate remained positive and brave, maintaining a hopeful outlook on life and staying strong for those around her. Mary Kate was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Mary Kate’s name to the American Cancer Society and Evelyn’s House.
