Mary Gail Daniel

Mary “Gail” Daniel (nee Zorn), of Wentzville, MO, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Daniel; cherished daughter of the late Helen Alexander and the late Alphonse Zorn Sr.; devoted mother of Bryan (Jeanne Beckwith) Daniel, Jason (Tracy) Daniel, and the late Julie Doeren; dear sister of Valerie M. Mason, the late Victoria Yust, the late Alphonse Zorn Jr., and step sister of Rita Moonsammy, Carlene Gerhardt, David Zorn, Marianne Sanford, and Patricia Zorn; loving grandmother of Myah, Lucas, Lola, and Vianne; treasured aunt of Kimberly Gettemeier, Michael Yust, and great aunt of Tori Gettemeier and Joseph Gettemeier; beloved by many other family members.

Gail wore many hats throughout her life, working in various jobs, and found joy in entertaining, traveling with her husband Bill, and walking her beloved Westie, Roxie. She cherished conversations with her neighbors, hosted movie Sundays with family and friends, and, known as the “River Queen,” had a special love for spending time on the river. Gail was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Gail's name to the American Cancer Society and Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
