Mary Ann Mulherin

Mary Ann Mulherin, of Wentzville, MO, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, at the age of 83 on Monday, April 27, 2020. She was born on August 16, 1936 to the late Marvin and Fern Dennis.

The most important thing in Mary’s life was her family. Mary and Harold raised eight beautiful children together who carry on their family’s loving bond. She was a stay-at-home mom while her children grew up and her husband worked. After all were in school, she ventured out to work outside the house making so many new friends along the way.

Mary and Harold were entrepreneurs starting their own business after all their children were grown. Mary loved a good ol’ fashioned water fight with many held outside and in at the Mulherin’s house. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who spent many hours on the sideline bleachers of her kids’ and grandkids’ school and sporting events.

Mary’s mantra was, “Be the best you can be at whatever you want to do.” She loved her garden, flowers, and birdwatching. We are sure Mary was welcomed into Heaven by her loving and eldest son, Tim, her sister Carol Sue and her great-great-grandson.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of nearly sixty-five years, Harold Mulherin; her children, Mary (Jim) Hardy, the late Tim (Debbie Sue survives) Mulherin, Katie (Jerry Cacciatore) Mulherin, Stephen (Donna) Mulherin, Daniel (Debbie) Mulherin, Richard Mulherin,  John (Angie) Mulherin, Peter (Tina) Mulherin; her thirty grandchildren; her twenty-four great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild; Mary is survived by her sisters, Barb (Frank) Sorice, Kathy (John) Waldron, Karen (Richard) Huntington, and the late Carol Sue Dennis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to the Salvation Army.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
