Mary Ann Andrews (nee Fasnacht), of O Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the age of 72.
Cherished daughter of the late Carl and Elsie Fasnacht; devoted mother of Eric (Windy) Andrews, Samantha (Kyle) Davis and Danielle (Ryan) Meier; loving grandmother of Elsie Gallucci-Andrews, Grace Davis, Gavin Davis, Gibson Davis, Brayden Meier and Owen Meier; dear sister of Ron Fasnacht, Ken Fasnacht, Charlotte Bizelli, Mike Fasnacht, Jan Schafer, Robert Fasnacht, Ed Fasnacht and the late Carl Fasnacht.
Mary Ann led a fulfilling life as the owner of her successful Hair Salon, Eclips Salon. Her passion for hairstyling touched the lives of many, creating not just beautiful looks but also lasting relationships with her clients. Known for her creativity and dedication to her craft, Mary Ann's salon was a place of warmth and beauty.
Beyond her career, Mary Ann will be fondly remembered for her vibrant personality and love for adventure. She found joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, watching them play sports and dance competitions. Dancing the jitterbug with her siblings and listening to music were cherished pastimes for Mary Ann. Holidays held a special place in her heart, particularly Christmas, which she celebrated with great enthusiasm.
In her leisure time, Mary Ann indulged in various hobbies and interests that reflected her zest for life. From playing pickleball to watching Cardinals games and crafts, she enjoyed a wide range of activities. Her affinity for animals led her to train dogs and appreciate the wonders of nature by watching hummingbirds. An excellent cook, Mary Ann delighted in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones, especially pasta and pumpkin pies.
A true world traveler, Mary Ann explored different cultures and landscapes with a particular fondness for Sorrento, Italy, and Lake Oconee, Georgia. Music and dancing were integral parts of her life, bringing rhythm and harmony to every moment she lived.
Mary Ann's proudest accomplishment was instilling in her family the values of hard work and success. She encouraged them to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential. Her legacy of love, kindness, and determination will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Mary Ann Andrews will be deeply missed by her loving family members and friends. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the remarkable life she lived—a life filled with passion, compassion, and endless joy.
May she rest in peace knowing that she has left an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Memorials may be made in Mary Ann's name to the St. Louis Zoo.
