Marvin Godbey

Godbey, Marvin, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the age of 84. Loving husband of the late Zeldia Godbey; beloved son of the late Herman and Mable Godbey; devoted father of Theodore E. (Karen) Godbey and Dorothy L. (Craig) White; cherished grandfather of Joshua Godbey, Samantha (Jeffrey) Abegg, Kenneth Godbey, Melissa Werner, and Jessica White; treasured great-grandfather of Jeffrey Abegg II and Sophia Abegg; dear brother of Rainey (Joan) Godbey; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; he is preceded in death by his siblings Charlie Godbey and Betty Strickland, and his nephew Larry Godbey. Marvin proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was a Tank Gunner in the Korean War. He was a retired Chrysler Mechanic after 35 plus years of service.
