Martin “Marty” Kowalczyk

Martin “Marty” Kowalczyk, 58, of Saint Charles, passed away unexpectedly early September 18th. Martin was born December 7th,1967 and is preceded in death by his father Walter and his stepmother Desma Bozikis-Kowalczyk. He is survived by his mother, Martha Sanguinet Kowalczyk, his wife Marci Jennings, and two children, Kaitlyn Jennings (Kory Carlson) and James Kowalczyk. Martin was brother to Jimmy (deceased), Rebecca Fulfs, Scott (Sharon) Thurmond, and Mary (Aaron) Hollingsworth and uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Martin was a devoted husband and loving father. He was so proud of his family and enjoyed keeping people updated on their accomplishments.

Martin was a long-term employee of Fastrans. The only thing Martin loved more than his family was Cardinal baseball. Martin followed in his father’s footsteps and worked for the Saint Louis Cardinals for over 25 years. During that time, he made many friends and enjoyed helping fans have the best experience possible.

Martin worked tirelessly to provide for all his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cardinals Care. Martin has also requested that dress be casual and feel free to wear your sports gear.
