Mark R. Thoele

Mark Richard Thoele, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Rose Thoele; son of the late Roy and Madonna Thoele; devoted father of Alexa Thoele and Jennifer Boyer; dear brother of Linda Bianchi, Susan (Henry) Krafft, and Mike (Jean) Thoele; uncle to many nieces and nephews; son-in-law of Kathleen Rice and the late Ken Rice; brother-in-law of Sam Sanfilippo, Mike Sanfilippo, Gina Sanfilippo, Cindy (Wayne) Wilson, Kate Sanfilippo, and Joe Sanfilippo.

Mark was an outgoing man who never met a stranger, always ready to strike up a conversation with anyone he encountered. He had a gift for storytelling and a wonderful sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. Mark found great happiness being in the outdoors, especially while golfing, fishing, and hunting. He particularly cherished his trips to Alaska for salmon fishing, where he could take in both the beauty of nature and the thrill of the catch. He took great pride in his work at Gygr Gas Company, which he ran with dedication and care. Above all, Mark adored his wife and child, who were the center of his life. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Mark's name to American Red Cross or Barnes Jewish Hospital.
