Mark William StoneLoving father, devoted Papaw, and friend to all things wild and free
Mark William Stone, beloved father, Papaw, brother, and friend, passed away surrounded by love. He was the cherished son of the late Glen and Shirley Stone and the youngest of five siblings. Mark is survived by his sister Kathy Stone, brothers Leon Stone and Jeff Stone, and is reunited in peace with his late brother, Jay Stone.
He was the proud father of Ashley (Joe) Bryan and the deeply adored Papaw of Ryder, JJ, and River Bryan, who brought him endless joy and laughter.
Mark had a heart as big as the great outdoors he loved so much. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace and purpose in the woods and on the water—hunting, fishing, and searching for arrowheads and antler sheds. He had a special gift for recognizing the quiet beauty of nature and spent countless hours sharing that love with those around him.
His compassion extended beyond people—Mark had a deep love for animals. Whether it was a faithful dog by his side or an orphaned wild creature in need, he had a gentle way of rescuing and rehabilitating those who couldn’t help themselves.
Above all, Mark loved his family fiercely and unconditionally. He lived simply, gave generously, and leaves behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and connection to the natural world.
He will be remembered with love and deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to No Time to Spare Animal Rescue and Sanctuary.
