Marilyn Ann Shaffer

Marilyn Ann Shaffer, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the age of 87.

Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her children, Kimberly Swafford and Charles (Karla) Shaffer; her grandchildren, Jared Swafford, Tanner Swafford, and Avery Shaffer; her siblings, Carol Gevers, Cheryl Seckel, David Becker, Kathy Grove, Kenneth Becker, and Christine Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Shaffer; her parents, Frank Becker and Velora Frillmann; and her brothers, Vincent Becker and Martin Becker.

Marilyn spent her career as a dedicated Loan Supervisor at Electro Savings Credit Union, where she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues. A woman of deep faith, Marilyn was an active parishioner at Assumption Church in O’Fallon, volunteering on several committees and giving generously of her time and spirit.

She found great joy in bowling, playing the piano, water skiing in her younger years, and researching her family history. Most of all, Marilyn adored her family and loved attending her grandchildren’s many activities. Her warm presence and kind heart touched all who knew her.
