Marie Terbrock (nee: Ems), of Saint Peters, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the age of 85. Loving wife of Bernie Terbrock; beloved daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Ems; devoted mother of Lawrence (Sharon) Terbrock, Lisa Cayce, the late Kenneth Terbrock, and the late Richard Terbrock; cherished grandmother of Christopher (Jackie) Terbrock, Jeffrey (Shannon) Terbrock, Lauren (Alex) Terbrock-Elmestead, Eric (Lindsey) Dalton, Charles Cayce, the late Sean Terbrock, and the late Jill Terbrock; treasured great-grandmother of Marissa, Donovan, Brendan, Kinley, and Shyloe; dearest sister of Bernard (Terri) Ems and Charles (Kathy) Ems; and dear mother-in-law of Pamela Terbrock.
Marie was co-owner of Bernie Terbrock Construction and Golden Triangle Development Co. for more than 44 years with her husband. She met her husband in St. Louis at a roller rink, and they shared 65 years together. As a homemaker, she was an amazing cook and kept an impeccably clean home for her family. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary and a volunteer for St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.
As a true social butterfly, Marie loved to plan parties, and was great at organizing and delegating the responsibilities to make the party a success! She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, and playing cards with friends. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and belonged to a Bunco Club. She was the first woman in St. Charles to receive her motorcycle license, and rode around proudly on her 150 Honda. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to Vegas and Tunica to play the slot machines. Marie was a bargain shopper who had a coupon for just about everything she bought, and she always found the best deals in town. She was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
