Maria Eileen Stehr

Maria Eileen Stehr, of St. Paul, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the age of 72.

Maria was the beloved wife of Rick Stehr, with whom she shared 52 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family that was the center of her life. She was the cherished daughter of the late Nick and Alice Volonnino.

Maria was a proud and devoted mother to Mark (Chrissy) Stehr, Dan (Chrissy) Stehr, David (Nikki) Stehr, and the late Joey “Chase” Stehr, and a loving grandmother to Logan, Caleb, Austin, Jace, Wesley, Kaley, and Colton. Her grandchildren were her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Dan Volonnino, David (Anna) Volonnino, Julie (the late Earl) Balserait, Mike Volonnino, Pat (Gumbo) Hurley, Ed (Christina) Volonnino, Rose (Ray) Niederriter, and Mary Volonnino. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Volonnino.

Maria had a joyful spirit and a wonderful sense of humor, always bringing laughter and light to those around her. She was kind, generous, and always willing to help anyone, truly living a life of selflessness and compassion. A devout Catholic, she cherished her faith as well as her family.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, dear cousin, and dedicated friend to many. Her kindness, warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished so deeply.
