Mari Jo "Jodie" Bowen

Mari Jo "Jodie" Bowen, 59, of St. Peters, MO, passed away on May 6, 2026. She was born on July 29, 1966 to Cecil Lemarr and Maribel Upton in Houston, Missouri. Jodie is survived by her son, Alexander, her cousin, Marilyn, and numerous friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her aunt and uncle, Edna and Norvin Bowen who raised her.

Jodie graduated from Hazelwood Central High School and Hickey College before beginning a career as an administrative assistant spanning over 25 years. Jodie was a bright, positive light to any that crossed her path and always willing to go the extra mile for others. She was known for her seemingly endless love of cats. Above all, Jodie’s greatest joy and proudest role in life was being Alexander’s mother. Her love for him was unwavering, and she devoted her life to supporting and encouraging him in every way.

Jodie will be remembered as a kind soul who had genuine love for everyone.
