Margaret Jo Ann "Jo" Winkle

Margaret Jo Ann "Jo" Winkle (nee Adkison), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025 at the age of 89. Loving wife of the late Billy G. Winkle, Sr.; beloved daughter of the late Jennie Irene and Harvey Henry Adkison; devoted mother of Vicki (Dennis) Auping, Billy (Cynthia) Winkle, Jr., Bryan "Scott" (Deborah) Winkle, Kerry (Paula) Winkle, Tonya (Chet) Pettek, and Kimberly (Frank) Merrell; cherished grandmother of 20 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild on the way; dear sister of Ralph (Kathleen) Adkison; aunt, cousin and friend. Jo is also preceded in death by her great-grandson, Jace Reynolds; and siblings, Roy Adkison, Helen Atkins, Kenneth Adkison, Betty Wildey, and Bob Adkison, and her granddaughter, Kirsten Pettek.

Jo was a devoted member of St. Joseph Cottleville, whose unwavering faith and deep love for her family were the cornerstones of her life. She was the heart of her home— always placing her family first, offering a listening ear, wise counsel, and an incredible ability to fix just about anything. Jo took immense pride in raising her children and guiding her family with strength and grace.

A talented cook and skilled seamstress, Jo also enjoyed a wide range of activities—beating her grandchildren at ping pong, bowling, darts, golfing, and even riding on Billy’s motorcycle. She cherished time at the lake, especially when it meant water sports and making memories with loved ones. Jo never missed a chance to support her children and grandchildren at their events, and she always saw the good in everyone she met. Her wisdom, warmth, and unwavering support left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Jo was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
