Margaret Ann Reed

Margaret Ann Reed (nee Smith), of Lake St. Louis, MO, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of 64 years to Howard Reed; cherished daughter of the late John and Margaret Smith; devoted mother of Shelia (Gregory) Eaker, Burton Richard and the late Carlton Wayne Reed; loving grandmother of Jerimy (Kim) Eaker, Emily Eaker, Chad Richard, Crystal Richard, Corey Richard and Trent Richard; dear great grandmother to Dylan Eaker and Brianna Eaker; dear sister of James (Connie) Smith.

Margaret shared a lifelong journey of love and companionship with her beloved husband Howard, cherishing each moment they spent together, particularly during their travels.

An active member of the Elks Lodge, Margaret dedicated herself to serving her community through her involvement in the ladies auxiliary, where she contributed her time and energy to various events over the years.

Margaret's vibrant spirit and boundless creativity illuminated the lives of those around her. Her warm personality and penchant for kindness endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. With a quick wit and a penchant for humor, Margaret had a gift for bringing laughter and joy to every gathering.

In her free time, Margaret found joy in pursuing her passions, whether it was sewing, crafting, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. Yet, above all else, her greatest happiness was found in the loving embrace of her family.

Margaret’s legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will forever endure in the hearts of those who were touched by her presence. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
