Margaret Loretta Callanan

Margaret Loretta Callanan (nee Harris), of Troy, MO, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the age of 88. Cherished daughter of the late Reginald and Ola Harris; devoted mother of LaRay (Douglas Tomooka), and Donald "DJ" (Ann) Callanan, Jr.; loving grandmother of April Eads, Devon Tomooka, Matthew Shippen, Jordan Tomooka, Kyle (Legend) Callanan; treasured great-grandmother of Waylon Callanan, Silas Callanan, and Oakley Callanan; dear sister of Deon Harris, John (Rita) Harris, the late Bill (Charlene survives) Gilmore, the late Jesse (Renata survives) Harris, and the late Roger Harris.

Loretta loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and tending to her backyard, which she transformed into a beautiful floral oasis. She had a heart of gold and a special love for animals, often feeding the birds and squirrels in her neighborhood. She also enjoyed taking leisurely Sunday drives. Loretta was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
