I was born January 18, 1957, in Herington, Kansas, to Robert and Gwendolyn Sharpe, I passed away March 15, 2025, in St. Charles, Missouri, at 68.
I was a proud Midwestern woman—strong, hard-working, and deeply passionate. I found beauty in simple things—sunlight, wind chimes, the birds at my feeders. I loved nature, animals, and more than anything, my sons, Michael, Marcus, and Matthew, my greatest joy and life’s work.
For years, as Marketing Director at Mount Carmel Senior Living, I formed deep connections with residents and colleagues. I was more than an employee—I was a friend and loving presence. I took immense pride in making our facility a home.
I brought people together—through holidays, school functions, or making sure my boys and their friends always had a ride, water for practice, and a meal. My home was warm and welcoming. I took pride in seasonal décor, special gatherings, and perfecting every detail.
I am survived by my husband, Dan; my sons, Michael, Marcus, and Matthew; my siblings, Mike, Diane, and Gary; and my nieces and nephews: Brittany McKee-Roddy, Andy Spellmeyer, Shelby Sharpe-Bolin, Emma Sharpe, Stacey Day, Abby Murphy, Nathan Rohrer, Eric Rohrer, Andrew Rohrer, Tyler Oldenburg, Josh Oldenburg, Katie Oldenburg, Allie Seidel, and Grace Seidel. I am also survived by my dearest friends Denise (Dee Dee) Robinson Scalzo, Sharon Mullins Schaffer, Dan and Betsy (Newmie) Fitzgerald, Andrew and Katie Fitzgerald, Rich Baseler, and Marti Beck.
I am reunited with my parents, my brother Mark, and the many cherished pets who were part of my journey—Mercedes, Conor, Danson, Sammi, Puck, and my beloved granddogs, Maycee, Bruce, and Vladi.
I loved flowers, though I fear Dan may kill them. Instead, consider donating to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, an organization close to my heart. I believed life’s answers lay in nature. If you ever search for me, look to the sun, the birds, the wind—I’ll be there
