Marc Victor Gross, 79, passed away on October 30, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri after a series of heart complications. Born on July 5, 1946, in Lincoln, Nebraska, Marc was the son of Victor Gross and Margaret (Ponty) Gross. He is survived by his children, Asia Gross, Caleb Grosse, Allison Gross, Alexandra Gross, and Robyn Meyer; his grandchildren, Meredith, Quinn, Nicosia, Hiro, Willa, Neal, Julius, and Amelie; his stepchildren, Natasha and Scott, and his sisters, Suzanne Hines and Chris Ragatz.

Marc grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, earning his BA in Asian Studies and his MBA at the University of Wisconsin. He ran several successful businesses in his lifetime, spending a lot of time traveling the world on international business. Passionate about other cultures, Marc was a life-long learner who loved to read and cook and pursued many varied hobbies and interests—including raising Arabian horses, wood carving, and leather craft. He was also an avid athlete who boxed and played football and rugby at the University of Wisconsin in his earlier years, rode horses and cycled in his middle years, and boxed and even played on a baseball team well into his 70s. He passed on his love for sport by coaching both youth hockey and boxing. In his final years, he enjoyed the beauty and serenity of the mountainous landscape of the high desert where he lived in Taos, NM.

Marc will be remembered for his dedication and love for his family, his leadership, his storytelling, his sense of humor, his eclectic interests, his strength and determination, and his insightful wisdom.

Donations in Marc's name may be made to Ethos of Rugby Foundation or Arabian Horse Rescue and Education.
